The Share feature allows you to create expirable, secure links to assets and folders.

You can share assets by generating a public, expirable link that you can share with anyone.
This link grants the recipient "view" permission, regardless of whether they have an Orange Logic account. You can choose the view permissions that a link grants, which gives recipients access to the proxy formats with the size category you select.
You can also choose whether the link:
Gives recipients permission to download the shared assets.
Gives recipients permission to edit the shared assets.
Applies watermarks to the shared assets.
Includes the metadata for the shared assets.

Insight: Permissions
You can control who has access to assets with permissions. Each asset (including folders) has a Permissions tab where you can assign permissions to users and groups. There are many levels of permissions that allow you to set granular levels of control. For example, if you want users to be able to download an asset, you can activate the Show dwnld btn permission. If you want users to edit an asset’s metadata, you can activate the Edit permission. The Admin permission activates all permissions, and it allows users to manage the asset’s permissions.

In the Orange Logic user interface, users have multiple Share link options. For example, they can generate Share links that are accessible only to Orange Logic users, or they can generate links that share assets by combining them into a single PDF. When you generate Share links via API, you do not have these options. The links you generate are always available to anyone.
Users can revoke access to Share links in the Orange Logic user interface.
The ability to generate Share links via API is available beginning in Orange Logic Nice.
